Recipe- Healthy Mango Chile Tilapia

Mango Chile Tilapia is just bursting with flavor! Tilapia is marinated with a spicy habanero mango glaze and topped with a fresh mango avocado salsa. Are you ready for an easy fish dinner that will knock your socks off? This Mango Chile Tilapia is bursting with flavor and, bonus points, it’s also super healthy! This is a great way to dress up cheaper white fish filets like tilapia.

It’s bright and vibrant both in presentation and flavor. And that habanero gives you a kick of heat. It’s a party in your mouth.

Ingredients

1 mango peeled and roughly chopped
1 habanero pepper
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 tilapia filets
salt to taste
1 mango peeled and diced
1 avocado peeled pitted and diced
1/4 cup diced onion
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
salt to taste

Method

* In a food processor or blender, combine mango, habanero, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and olive oil. Puree until smooth.


* Season tilapia lightly with salt. Pour or brush glaze over tilapia. Marinate, if desired, for up to 30 minutes.

* Make salsa by combining mango, avocado, and onion in a small bowl.

* Gently stir in cilantro, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes and salt to taste. Set aside.

* Cook tilapia in a heavy skillet over medium high heat until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, about 5 minutes per side.

* Serve fish hot topped with mango salsa.
