An emotional Ashley Cain has completed a gruelling bike ride to raise money for the charity he set up with partner Safiyya Vorajee in memory of their daughter who died at the age of eight months.

The 30-year-old reality star and his brother Matty cycled 1,040 miles from the bottom of England to the top of Scotland for The Azaylia Foundation to "raise awareness and funds for all the incredible children fighting childhood cancer."

Their mammoth challenge came to an end on Tuesday night as Ashley tearfully posted on his Instagram Stories at the finishing line at the John O'Groats signpost.

He looked up to the skies as he told his 1.8 million followers: "John O'Groats, we made it. A thousand plus miles, incredible."

Ashley promised to update his fans on Wednesday but said he was ready to enjoy a whisky and "reflect on the amazing journey".

He went on to thank everybody that had supported them on the amazing journey before looking up to the skies once again and shouting: "We made it, baby! We made it! Let's go champ!"

He then reposted a video from The Azaylia Foundation's Instagram page of his emotional final leg of the journey as he tearfully pushed his bike up the hill to the final marker.

Fans could be heard cheering him on and shouting "let's go champ", a phrase Ashley and Safiyya regularly said during their daughter's battle with cancer.

Baby Azaylia tragically died in April after a battle with a rare form of leukaemia.

The former Ex on the Beach star and his partner have since set up a charity in memory of their tot to lead the fight against childhood cancer.

On the website for the non-profit, a mission statement reads: "The Azaylia Foundation aims to support families that are fundraising for treatments that may not be readily available on the NHS and provide children with memorable experiences as they fight cancer."

The landing page for the site includes a video of Ashley and Safiyya reflecting on the loss of Azaylia and their plans to help others.

The bike ride has raised thousands of pounds for the foundation and fans turned out in their masses at every part of the journey.

In a previous video as the riders entered Edinburgh at the weekend, Ashley told the cheering crowd: "Yes Edinburgh!

"I'm absolutely pumped today. I don't know what's taken over me. Earlier on today I showed the team a video of my baby girl and it brought me down to my knees and it broke me heart."

He admitted his struggle but said he remembered Azaylia's fight and why he was doing the ride.

He continued: "We had cold, we had wet, we had fogs, we had hills. But it is nothing compared to what my daughter and these kids go through on a day to day basis, so what the f*** am I moaning about? Nothing at all."

He thanked his fans for the support and said they're a team who together will provide a better future for the children fighting cancer.
