Tunnel cam footage has captured what happened immediately following Maurizio Sarri snubbing shaking hands with Pep Guardiola.
Sky Sports cameras showed the Chelsea boss darting down the Etihad tunnel as soon as the final whistle sounded on Sunday despite Guardiola heading towards him with his hand out.
Manchester City had just thumped the Blues 6-0 and Sarri was obviously keen to get back to the changing room to give his players a dressing down.
"I didn't see at that moment," said Sarri, when asked why he appeared to snub Guardiola after the match. "But of course as usually I will go to say hello to him later, as usual.
"It was by chance because I wanted to go to the dressing room at that moment, and I didn't see him. I don't have a problem with Pep."
Guardiola added: "He didn't see me. I have a good relationship with him, no problem."
Not much more was made of the incident between the two managers, and footage posted to shows the situation remained calm in the tunnel.
In the clip, which you can see above, Sarri heads up the stairs inside the Etihad tunnel before quickly walking into the Chelsea changing room.
Guardiola meanwhile speaks with a member of his backroom staff, a bit of a distance behind his opposite number, before heading into City's changing room.
