Prince William and Kate Middleton's comical admission about fun-loving Prince Louis

Cheeky Prince Louis steals the show wherever he goes.

With his hilarious unpredictable behaviour , playful antics and animated expressions, the mischievous royal is adored for his charm and unpredictability. The public delight in watching the lively prince behaving just like any other young child - and his parents

William and Kate are all too aware of his appeal.

The little boy really came into his own at the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. While Louis' older siblings, Prince George , then-eight, and Princess Charlotte , seven, were on their best behaviour, the event was far too exciting for four-year-old Louis.

From sticking his tongue out and sssh-ing his mum, to pretending to be a lion, jumping seats to sit on his grandad Charles' lap and singing and dancing in his seat, Louis was on top form.

His appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the flypast was no less endearing. Louis alternately waved, pulled faces and covered his ears as the planes soared overhead. He was also seen enthusiastically asking his great-grandmother the late Queen some questions as she bent down to talk to him.

Once the Jubilee celebrations had come to an end, William and Kate thanked royal fans via their personal Instagram account.

They wrote: "Thank you to everyone who turned out to show their gratitude to The Queen and her inspiring 70 years of leadership. From the crowds on the Mall to communities hosting street parties up and down the country, we hope you had a weekend to remember."

They also acknowledged Louis's scene-stealing appearances, and in a comical admission wrote: "We all had an incredible time, especially Louis… [eyes emoji]. W & C."

Little Louis celebrated his sixth birthday on 23 April, and in keeping with tradition, William and Kate released a new photo of their little boy. In the sweet snapshot, Louis can be seen lying on a rug on the grass, wearing a checked shirt and smiling at the camera. The photo was taken in the last few days at Windsor by Kate, who announced last month she is undergoing chemotherapy after a cancer diagnosis.

There had been concerns that William and Kate would choose not to share a new photo of their youngster son after the photo editing furore that followed a picture put out to mark Mother's Day showing the princess with her three children. And last month, aides said that "no firm decision" had been taken on whether they would release a photo of Louis on his birthday and who would take the snap .

However, the photo appeared on the Wales family's official social media accounts this lunchtime. The post read: "Happy 6th Birthday, Prince Louis! Thank you for all the kind wishes today." The image was followed by a camera emoji and attributed to the Princess of Wales. The image was also reposted on the official Royal Family Twitter account.
