Tennis star Fabien Reboul shares photo of kiss with fellow male player Maxence Broville

French tennis star Fabien Reboul has sparked speculation that the ATP Tour could have its first openly LGBTQ+ couple after sharing a photo kissing fellow player Maxence Broville.

Doubles player Reboul, 27, has shared photographs embracing with compatriot Broville, 23, on social media.

An Instagram story showed a photograph of the pair looking into each other's eyes.

And that was followed by another picture posted by Reboul of the duo sharing a kiss, with the accompanying caption: "I did not fall in love with you, your love pushed me to it."

The duo were wearing Slade Toulousain Tennis Club chinos and blazers, representing the French club they are both involved with.

And Reboul's post, which was reposted on fellow pro Broville's account, has led to suggestions that the men's professional tour could finally have its first active gay couple.

There are currently no openly gay athletes on the ATP Tour and both players are yet to clarify the reports.

Reboul is an established player on the pro tour, currently ranked world no.54 on the doubles circuit, and he featured at Wimbledon in July.

Meanwhile, Broville plays on the ITF Tour and has a career high world ranking of 829.

Earlier this year, the ATP Tour announced they would team up with You Can Play, a group dedicating time to increasing LGBTQ+ inclusion in sports.

The collaboration came after 75% of a large group of pros participating in an anonymous survey by the ATP claimed they had heard players use homophobic slurs.

An ATP statement on the findings “indicated a strong fear of rejection, isolation from others on tour, and loneliness as being likely barriers to LGBTQ+ players publicly disclosing their sexuality to others.”

But the men's pro tour added that the majority of the participants who were sent the survey “were supportive of ATP taking action to combat homophobia.”
