Auto driver kidnaps, rapes mentally disabled woman in Dhantoli
Nagpur: A mentally disabled woman was kidnapped and raped by an auto driver in Dhantoli police jurisdiction. Friend of the accused auto driver also outraged modesty of the woman by indulging in vulgar acts while she was detained in a room. The helpless victim was later deserted at Itwari Railway Station.
The accused auto driver, Shahjad Sheikh Shabbir Sheikh (26), resident of Marwadi Square, Itwari, forced the 29-year old mentally disabled woman to sit in his auto in front of Krishna Mandir on Chhatrapati Square-Narendra Nagar Road around 7 pm on Tuesday, August 20. After abducting the woman, accused Shahjad took her to his friend’s room and raped her by doling out false marriage promise.
The victim woman was detained in the room. Next day, the accused took his auto and left the room. In the meantime, the friend of the accused indulged in indecent acts and thus outraged modesty of the woman. Later on Thursday around 6 pm, the helpless woman was dropped at Itwari Railway Station by both the accused. The woman anyhow reached home and narrated the incident to her mother who immediately registered a case against the two accused with Dhantoli police.
Woman PSI S G Meshram has booked the accused auto driver Shahjad Sheikh Shabbir Sheikh and his friend under Sections 366, 376(2)(J)(L)(N), 342, 354(A), 323, 506 of the IPC and mounted hunt to nab them.
