Property fraud: Father-son duo dupe man worth Rs 51.15 lakh using forged documents

Nagpur: Mankapur police have booked a father-son duo for allegedly defrauding a man to the tune of Rs 51.15 lakh using forged documents back in November 2017. The matter came to fore in January 2021, following which complainant Raju Jyotiprasad Mishra (38), a resident of Plot No. 80, Nagsen Society, New Mankapur approached cops.

Following the complaint, the Mankapur police have booked the accused identified as Dynaneshwar Bhaurao Thakrey and his son Ravi in this connection.

According to police sources, the accused duo reportedly sold Khapri based land to Tiwari back in November 30, 2017. However, the duo forged the documents and never transferred the property.

Based on the complaint, Mankapur cops have registered a case under section 406, 420, 465, 468, 471, 504, 34 of the IPC. Further probe is underway.
