BSNL launches Rs. 998 prepaid plan with 2GB/day data benefit

Just a couple of days after launching the Rs. 97 and Rs. 365 packs, BSNL has introduced a new long-term Rs. 998 prepaid data plan.

The premium plan promises to offer 2GB high-speed data per day for a total of 210 days.

However, in terms of validity, the plan will last for 240 days with an additional 60-days extension available in select regions.

Unlimited pack

As per the details highlighted on BSNL's Kerala portal, the Rs. 998 prepaid pack offers 2GB of high-speed data per day. However, since it is a data-only plan, subscribers will not get any calling or SMS benefit.

Moreover, once the daily FUP limit of 2GB is exhausted, users will continue to get unlimited internet access but at a reduced speed of 80kb/s.

The plan also offers PRBT benefits for two months

Alongside the data benefit, the plan also offers Personalized Ring Back Tone for 2 months wherein you can select a custom caller tune for your number. In select regions like Haryana, Tamil Nadu, UP East, UP West, subscribers will also get free Lokdhun content.

In some regions, the data plan has a 300-day validity
Long-term pack

Though the 2GB daily data benefit is available for 210 days, the plan will remain active for a total of 240 days in some circles like Kerala.

However, in regions like Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, UP East, and UP west, subscribers will get an extra validity of 60 days as part of a promotional offer that expires on December 31, 2019.

Meanwhile, just last week, BSNL had launched a new long-term Rs. 997 unlimited prepaid plan in India. This premium recharge pack comes with benefits such as unlimited voice calls, 3GB data per day, and 100 daily SMSes for a validity of 180 days.
