'Lovely man': Lori Loughlin praises 'Night Before' co-star Keanu Reeves

Hollywood actor Lori Loughlin—best known for her stint on the 1988 sitcom Full House—recently reflected on her experiences of working with Keanu Reeves in the 1988 film The Night Before.

She discussed this during an appearance on the podcast How Rude, Tanneritos!, hosted by her former colleagues Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber.

The movie—helmed by Thom Eberhardt—features Reeves as a geeky character escorting Loughlin's popular high school girl to prom.

During the podcast interview, Loughlin confirmed when asked, "He was the nerdy guy?," responding, "He was the nerdy guy. Can you imagine?"

Reflecting on her experience working with Reeves, Loughlin further remarked, "He was so wonderful. What a lovely, lovely man."

Sweetin expressed her desire to meet Reeves after hearing such positive stories, to which Loughlin added, "He is. He's just a dream. He really is."

Beyond discussing Reeves, Loughlin also shared her experience filming The Night Before, which she described as a "quirky black comedy."

She spoke positively about her time on the set but also recounted a disturbing incident.

After returning from lunch one evening during the shoot in downtown Los Angeles, she discovered that a murder had occurred in the alley where they had just been filming.

Reflecting on the moment, she exclaimed, "Oh my goodness. We were in the thick of it."

About the movie


In one of his early roles, Reeves portrayed Winston Connelly, a high school nerd and vice president of the astronomy club, in The Night Before.

Opposite Reeves, Loughlin takes on the role of Tara Mitchell, the popular head cheerleader and daughter of the local police chief.
