Actor's reaction

In a conversation with Times Now, the actor expressed, "I have seen her working hard all these years and patiently preparing and waiting for that one big break. I have always felt she is a terrific actor."

"I have seen a lot of her work in stage. I love her both in dramatic roles and comedy."

Couple's previous collaboration on 'Shimmy'
Past work

Gandhi and Oza have previously shared both stage and screen space. They worked together on a short film titled Shimmy, which is available on Amazon's miniTV. This marked their first joint appearance on screen.

Sharing insights about their experience together, he stated, "What made it really special for me was that my wife and I were seen on screen together in this so I was excited."

Notably, the duo tied the knot in 2009 and have one child.

Meanwhile, this project marks the third collaboration between Mehta-Gandhi
About the project

This project signifies the third collaboration between Mehta and Gandhi, following their success with the hit web series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story and Modern Love Mumbai.

Intriguingly, this isn't Gandhi's first portrayal of the Mahatma.

He previously depicted the iconic figure in Manoj Shah's Gujarati play Mohan No Masalo.

However, director Mehta clarified that Gandhi's previous experience with the role was not the sole reason for his casting in the upcoming web series.

These books offer a thorough account of Gandhi's life, from his early years in India to his time in South Africa and his return to lead India's fight for independence.

The show is set to be filmed in multiple locations, including India, South Africa, and England.
