American actor Sendhil Ramamurthy recently opened up about his latest film, Do Aur Do Pyaar, and his role in the American series Never Have I Ever.

In a candid conversation with Pinkvilla, he shared insights on the reception of the romantic comedy directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta.

Despite positive reviews, the film has yet to achieve significant box-office success. Ramamurthy expressed hope that word of mouth would boost its popularity over time.

Ramamurthy, who portrayed Vikram in Do Aur Do Pyaar, acknowledged the business aspect of filmmaking.

He stated, "I mean, you always want people to see the film, right? Because at the end of the day, there is a business aspect to everything and people have put up money and you want them to make their money back so that hopefully you get to make another film."

He remains optimistic about the film's potential for future success.

Ramamurthy revealed his co-stars' positive reactions to the audience feedback for Do Aur Do Pyaar.

He said, "The way people responded to it has made all of us so happy. I've been texting with Vidya (Balan), Pratik (Gandhi), and Ileana (D'Cruz) and we're just all kind of blown away by the reception of it."

He also expressed interest in future collaborations with Alia Bhatt and Vidya Balan, admiring their work and hoping for another fruitful working experience.

In addition to discussing his latest film, Ramamurthy also shared his enjoyable experience working on the American series Never Have I Ever.

He described the experience as "just pure joy." He commended Mindy Kaling for assembling a predominantly Indian cast and crew, which is a rarity in Hollywood.

He played the lead character Devi's late father in the show.
