Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, during a rally in Bijapur, Karnataka, claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared "very nervous" in his recent public speeches.

He even speculated that this perceived anxiety might cause the prime minister to cry publicly.

"These days Narendra Modi remains very nervous during his speeches. Maybe in a few days he might shed tears on stage," said Gandhi.

At the rally, Gandhi criticized Modi for allegedly diverting the public's attention from critical issues such as poverty, unemployment, and inflation.

He accused the prime minister of using various strategies to distract the public.

"Modi tries to divert your attention. Sometimes he talks about China and Pakistan, and sometimes he will make you beat plates and ask you to switch on the flashlight of your mobile phones," Gandhi stated.

During the rally, Gandhi also hit back at Modi's allegations that the Congress plans to distribute national wealth among "infiltrators" and "those who have more children," a reference to the Muslim community.

He also refuted Modi's claim that the Congress would decrease Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe reservations and allocate them among Muslims if it came into power.

Furthermore, Gandhi accused Modi of channeling wealth toward a select few billionaires over the past decade.

On Thursday, the Election Commission of India (ECI) issued a notice to BJP president JP Nadda seeking his response to the complaints filed by opposition parties and other groups regarding the remarks made by PM Modi.
