Samsung is reportedly maintaining the battery capacity of the Galaxy S25 Ultra at 5,000mAh to reduce component costs of its upcoming flagship smartphone.

This information was revealed by tipster Sawyer Galox on X.

Besides the identical battery capacity as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, there will be no improvements in fast charging speeds as well. It will be capped at 45W.

Galox has further revealed that the advanced battery features initially planned for the Galaxy S25 Ultra are now being transferred to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Samsung changed its plans in an effort to reduce costs. This move aligns with Qualcomm's upcoming price increase for its Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.

The advanced processor features custom Qualcomm CPU cores and excludes low-power efficiency cores, which handle minor tasks without consuming significant power.

Exynos 2500 chipset to be offered in most markets
Market-specific choices

In another cost-saving move, Samsung plans to equip the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ with its own Exynos 2500 chipset in most markets.

However, in the US and China, these models will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 across all markets.

These strategies are expected to help Samsung maintain its profit margins for its 2025 flagship line.
