Fact

In addition to 'Favorites,' WhatsApp is also working on an in-app dialer. This new feature will allow users to make calls directly from the app without needing to save numbers in the address book.

Sharing files without internet connection
Offline sharing

WhatsApp is also developing a feature to share files and documents without an internet connection.

This feature will include a dedicated section within the app settings, for managing permissions for sharing files with nearby individuals.

Users will only be visible to others if they navigate to the same screen within their WhatsApp app, and grant permission for their device to be detected and connected.

The file sharing process will remain end-to-end encrypted, ensuring privacy and security.
