Xiaomi launches earphones, vacuum cleaner, and garment steamer in India

Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics giant, has launched its newest truly wireless stereo (TWS) earphones, the Redmi Buds 5A, in India.

The announcement was made at the 'Smarter Living & More' launch event.

Alongside the earbuds, Xiaomi also introduced three other goods - the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10, Xiaomi Handheld Garment Steamer, and Redmi Pad SE.

The Redmi Buds 5A are being promoted as the most affordable wireless headset from Xiaomi in India.

The Redmi Buds 5A are available at a "special launch price" of ₹1,499, which may change later.

They come in two colors - Bass Black and Timeless White - and will be available for purchase from April 29.

The earphones can be bought from Xiaomi's online store, retail outlets, and stores owned by Reliance.

They boast features such as active noise cancellation (ANC), transparency modes, and AI-powered environmental noise cancellation (ENC) for calls.

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10 is priced at ₹20,999 and will be available for purchase from May 6 on Flipkart, Amazon, and Xiaomi retail outlets. Pre-orders start on April 29.

The smart home gadget offers a 360-degree laser-based navigation system that can maneuver around obstacles inside an 8-meter scanning range.

It has a maximum suction power of 4,000Pa, and features a floating roller brush along with a 300ml dust box.

The Xiaomi Handheld Garment Steamer costs ₹2,299.

It will be available from May 6 on Amazon, Flipkart, Xiaomi's online store, and retail outlets. Pre-orders start on April 29.

This 1,300W device offers a steam rate of 24g per minute, and features a 160ml water storage unit.

It heats up in less than 26 seconds and is claimed to eliminate up to 99.99% of bacteria while removing allergens. The steamer can be used on various types of fabrics.

Xiaomi also launched the Redmi Pad SE tablet at the event.

The tablet comes with an 11.0-inch WUXGA (1,920x1,200 pixels) LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, and 400-nits of peak brightness.

It is fueled by a 6nm octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset, and supports up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

The Redmi Pad SE is available from ₹12,999, which is a special launch price for a limited period.
