In every religion, travelling and undertaking pilgrimage to its holy places is considered of utmost importance. Similarly, there are many pilgrimage places in the Hindu religion which have great importance. The most prominent religious pilgrimage in Hinduism is known as 'Char Dham Yatra', which includes Badrinath Dham, Dwarka Dham, Jagannath Puri Dham and Rameshwaram Dham.

Apart from this, Char Dham Yatra also takes place in Uttarakhand, which is considered very important. In Uttarakhand, Badrinath Dham, Kedarnath Dham, Gangotri and Yamunotri are called Char Dham. Helicopter services are also available for this pilgrimage which begins from April 20 this year. Let us know the time and cost of Char Dham Yatra by helicopter.

Helicopter Fare:

Travelling to Char Dham in Uttarakhand can be challenging for pilgrims due to the difficult terrain. Many people choose to travel by helicopter, known as 'Chhota Char Dham Yatra'. The fare for helicopter service varies depending on the duration of the trip. Booking for this journey can be done under IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation).

Regional offices are also providing booking facilities. Till now about 4 lakh people have made the booking. The fare for the five nights and six days of Char Dham Yatra is Rs 1,99,000 and the total with 5% GST is Rs 2,08,950.

Travel Period:

Booking is open for Phases 1 and 3 of IRCTC-operated helicopter service for Chardham Yatra. The first phase is from May 10 to June 20, while the third phase is from September 15 to October 31. Booking dates for the second phase, from June 21 to September 14, will be announced soon.

Booking Process:

To book helicopter travel through IRCTC, first, you have to create an account on the official website registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/signin.php. After logging in you can register for the journey. Depending on whether you register as a group or an individual, you will receive a group ID or an individual ID.

Furthermore, you can proceed to book the helicopter on the IRCTC website. To book, visit the official website www.heliyatra.irctc.co.in, click on 'Sign Up' and provide details like name, mobile number, email ID, state and password. Then, log in using the phone number and password.

Next, enter your group or individual ID, select a helicopter time slot, and enter the ID card number provided for the trip. After this, you will have to make payment. Once the payment is successful, you can download your ticket.
