People in Sierra Leone have become addicted to this zombie drug. The most surprising thing is that 63 percent of the patients admitted to the hospitals of Sierra Leone are addicted to this drug. Police officers in Freetown are guarding cemeteries to stop people digging up graves to make 'zombie' drugs.

According to a BBC report, this drug 'Kush' is made by mixing different types of poisonous substances, a major part of which is human bones. People who have become addicted to this drug are becoming victims of many types of diseases. People's bodies have become swollen due to drug consumption. This drug has become a very serious problem in Sierra Leone. Its dealers have reportedly become grave robbers, stealing skeletons from thousands of graves to meet demand.

'Threat to the existence of the country'

According to media reports, Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio said in his statement, "Our country is currently facing an existential threat due to the effects of drug and substance abuse, especially the synthetic drug Kush. He said that the death rate among drug users has increased. He said that a task force has also been formed to eliminate drug addiction. Centers are being set up in every district to provide care and support to people suffering from drug addiction, where there will be adequate staff of trained professionals.

Patients increased by 4000 percent in three years

Dr Abdul Jalloh, head of the Sierra Leone Psychiatric Hospital, said the president's emergency declaration was the "right step" to tackle drug use, according to media reports. There is no official information about deaths due to the consumption of Kush drug yet, but a doctor from Freetown said that in the last few months, many youths have died due to organ failure due to the consumption of the drug.
