CBI vs CBI: Govt curtails tenure of special director Rakesh Asthana

New Delhi: In yet another major shake-up in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the government on Thursday removed the agency’s special director Rakesh Asthana and 3 other senior officials, with immediate effect.

Rakesh Asthanan and former CBI director Alok Verma were involved in a bitter feud before the government sent them on forced leave.
