'Hindavi Swaraj' of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is actually the thinking of Hindu nation..': RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat

Nagpur: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Hindavi Swaraj was actually the idea of a Hindu nation. That is, Shivaji Maharaj's Hindavi Swaraj meant Hindu Rashtra. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday (June 1), a day before the 350th coronation day of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has said this.

Bhagwat was speaking at the RSS Shiksha Parishad event at the Reshimbagh ground in Nagpur.

Now senior Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, an ally of the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra, has reacted to Mohan Bhagwat's statement. Raut has said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's bodyguard was a Muslim, the head of his artillery was also a Muslim person. Chhatrapati Shivaji never gave any 'hate speech'. Raut claimed that Chhatrapati's Hindavi Swaraj was different from what hindu rashtra is being imagined today.

In fact, Mohan Bhagwat was talking about Hindu-Muslim unity in his address. During this, he said that dialogue is more important today than controversy. Your diversity should never be a cause for division, it should be a cause of unity. Islam is safe in India. Some sects came from outside. We had wars with people from outside who brought them. The invaders who came from outside are gone. Those who are in the country now are not outsiders, they are their own. He said that those who are Muslims of India, we should treat them well by considering them as our own. They should also forget their relations with outside and stay with India, this will increase mutual harmony and harmony.
