Nisha Bangre's Political Disillusionment: Former Deputy Collector's Exit from Congress Amid Ticket Denial

Bhopal: The challenges facing the Madhya Pradesh Congress seem to be persisting without abatement. Nisha Bangre, who transitioned from a government job to politics during the assembly elections, has grown disenchanted with the political landscape. However, it remains uncertain whether she is exiting politics altogether or considering joining another party.

Speculation abounds that she might return to her former job.

Nisha Bangre tendered her resignation from all Congress posts on Sunday, just ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. On the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, she penned a two-page letter to State President Jitu Patwari, expressing her release from all party responsibilities. Is there something amiss? Not long ago, Nisha was appointed as the party's chief spokesperson. Yet, within a span of six months, she has grown disenchanted with politics.

In her resignation missive to Jitu Patwari, Nisha levied several serious accusations against the Congress, alleging breach of promise. She claims she was assured of a ticket in the assembly elections, prompting her to resign from the post of Deputy Collector. Nonetheless, three months ago, Nisha applied to reclaim her job, signaling her intent to pursue this option.

In her resignation letter, Nisha lamented, "There is no regard for women's dignity within the Congress." The lack of proper representation of women in Madhya Pradesh's parliamentary seats during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections serves as the latest example of this issue within the Congress Party.

She further stated, "I aspired to engage in extensive political work within the Congress, but the party rendered my qualifications a disqualification for this purpose." Now, desiring to be relieved of all responsibilities within the Congress Party, Nisha declared her commitment to dedicating her life to propagating the ideals of Baba Saheb.
