Pankaj always tells him not to turn around and answer him, but almost every day Shahid gets upset with his father's anger and tells him to keep quiet. Father Pankaj and Shahid often do not spend much time with each other. When Shahid and Mira became parents to a baby girl, Pankaj told them that now you will know what it is to miss your children. 

Pankaj and Shahid  were last seen together in the film 'Shaandaar' released in 2015. Earlier, both of them appeared together in the film 'Mausam', 'Matru Ki Bijli Ka Man Dola'. Apart from this, Pankaj Kapoor appeared in films like 'Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon', 'Dharma', 'Maqbool' and 'Finding Fanny'.
