'Shri Ram used to drink alcohol every afternoon with Mata Sita', says K'taka-based writer

Bangalore: KS Bhagwan, a writer from Karnataka, has once again spewed venom about Lord Ram. In an event, he said that Lord Ram used to sit with Mother Sita every afternoon and drink alcohol. He also said that this has been said in Valmiki Ramayana. Defending himself, the author also said that he is not saying all this, but the document.

KS Bhagwan was addressing a program in Mandya, Karnataka on 20 January 2023, during which he made this controversial statement. He said during the program that, 'Lord Ram's main activity in the afternoon was to sit and drink alcohol with Mother Sita.' He also tried to give examples of Valmiki Ramayana and documents to justify his point. It is not that this author insulted Lord Ram for the first time. The author had made controversial remarks against Lord Ram in his book 'Ram Mandira Yake Beda'.

The author further said that Lord Ram used to get drunk and also used to make Mother Sita intoxicated. At that time, some Hindu organizations had widely opposed this comment on God and tried to worship outside his house. However, the state government had then tightened security outside his residence. In February 2021, a woman lawyer in a Bengaluru court had smeared black paint on his face in protest against the continuous questioning of the existence of Lord Ram.
