Corona Virus : 2 Suspects Returned from China Admitted to Hospital in Mumbai

NP NEWS 24 : Mumbai: A separate ward has been created in the Kasturba Hospital of Brihanmumbai Metropolitan Municipality (BMC) for patients suspected of Coronavirus. The Indian Embassy in Beijing has issued an advisory on Friday.

Due to the possibility of two persons returning from China being infected with Corona Virus, they have been kept in a separate ward of a hospital here under the supervision of doctors. A large number of people are infected with the Corona Virus in China and many people have died due to this.

Officials said that Corona Virus infection screening (thermal screening) of 1,789 passengers has been done at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai since January 19. Two of these passengers, who came here from China, have been admitted to the Kasturba Hospital in Chinchpokli operated by BMC. An official of the health department said that no case of this deadly infection has been reported so far. “In the last 14 days, no passengers who travelled from Wuhan, China were found to be infected of Corona Virus in thermal screening,” he said.
