Know What is Corona Virus, its Symptoms, and Prevention

NP NEWS 24 : Mumbai : Corona Virus has come from China and is slowly spreading worldwide. However, it is a matter of relief for India that this virus has not yet knocked into the country.

All four suspected samples have turned negative. One person died of corona virus on January 5, 2020 in China. Due to the rapid spread of the virus, the Government of India had directed Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata airports to check tourists coming from China through thermal scanners as a precautionary measure. Here, the WHO has expressed the possibility that the corona virus may be infected between two humans in very close contact.

What is Corona Virus?

Many misconceptions about the Corona virus are also spreading! WHO has linked this fast spreading virus to seafood. People are getting sick from the corona virus because there is a group of viruses that can have direct effects on the body! The virus is also spreading to many animals including camels, cats and bats. Its infection causes problems like fever, cold, shortness of breath, runny nose and sore throat. It can also cause pneumonia. Its condition is quite similar to the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

Symptoms of Corona Virus –

Symptoms of corona virus include runny nose, cough, sore throat, occasional headache and fever, which may last for a few days. It is fatal for people with weak immunity. The elderly and children are easy victims of this. Pneumonia, swelling in the lungs, sneezing, worsening of asthma are also the symptoms. The average age of those who die from this virus is 73 years. The oldest person among the dead was 89 years old while the youngest was 48 years old.

Ways to Escape –


– Clean your hands with soap and water or alcohol hand rub.
– When coughing or sneezing, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or bent elbow.
– Avoid making close contact with people who have cold or flu-like symptoms.
– Cook meats and eggs well.
– Do not make unsafe contact with animals living in the forest and fields.

Treatment –

There is no cure found for it yet. There is no vaccine for the corona virus or 2019-nCoV. The only way to avoid this is to take precautions. Avoid coming in contact with a sick, cold, pneumonia suffering person. Wear a mask. Do not touch your eyes, nose and mouth. Wash hands thoroughly with soap.
