CAA Effect ! Bangladeshi infiltrators Leaving India

NP NEWS 24: Kolkata: Implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has been a huge topic for opposition and citizen of the country. Many are taking out a rally in support of it and many are protesting.

Meanwhile, a report of the BSF said that the number of Bangladeshi infiltrators who have left India and returned to Bangladesh has increased in the last one month and this has happened since the CAA came into force.

According to a media report, BSF Inspector General (South Bengal Frontier) Y. B. Khuraniya said that the fear of the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act has led to an increase in the number of Bangladeshi infiltrators leaving the country. He said that ‘We have caught 268 Bangladeshi infiltrators only in January, most of whom were trying to go to the neighbouring country’.

According to the BSF, his team is continuously patrolling to prevent infiltration to cross the border. Along with this, BSF is replacing the old barbed wire fence with strong new fencing. In many places, the old fence has also been replaced with anti-cut fencing, however, the infiltration is not completely stopped.
