Coronavirus : 30% Reduction in Salary of All MPs, MP Fund Postponed for Two Years
New Delhi : The central government, taking a major decision in the cabinet meeting, has announced that there will be a 30 per cent reduction in the salary allowance of the Prime Minister, ministers and MPs, also the MP fund has been postponed for two years.
Prakash Javadekar said that this cut will come into effect from 1 April 2020. He said that the President, the Vice-President and the Governors of many states have also voluntarily written letters for 30 percent reduction in salary. He said that the Prime Minister, ministers and MPs had offered their social responsibility themselves. In view of this, it was decided to cut the salary of MPs by 30 percent for one year.
