Pune : NpNews24 Online Pune Kasba Peth Bypoll Election | The Kasba Peth assembly bypoll has been announced. The seat fell vacant after the death of MLA Mukta Tilak. Hemant Rasane has been nominated from the ruling BJP, while Ravindra Dhangekar of the Congress party is the MVA candidate. However, it is said that Mukta Tilak’s family and their supporters are upset as no member from the Tilak family has not been nominated. The Brahmin community is not happy because the Tilaks did not get the nomination. In this backdrop, the Hindu Maha Sangh (HMS) has announced that it would contest the bye-election. The Tilak family was sidelined by the ruling BJP in the Kasba Assembly Constituency. Rasane was announced as its candidate. Hemant Rasane is considered close to MP Girish Bapat. Mukta Tilak’s husband Shailesh Tilak has expressed his displeasure. But now a leader of the Hindu Mahasangh has also expressed his desire to contest the election.

Hindu Maha Sangh president Anand Dave also announced that he would contest from the Kasba segment. This is likely to increase the problems of Congress and the ruling BJP. Anand Dave will soon file his nomination for the Kasba Assembly by-election. Dave also said that he will fight the Kasba Assembly by-election with full strength. In that case, the fight will be triangular.

Anand Dave said that “There is deep resentment in the Brahmin community over the BJP nomination. Justice has been done in the Chinchwad constituency by the BJP but it is not done in Kasba Peth. But the HMS will contest this election.”
