Rs 30 Lakh Seized From Car In Malkangiri Ahead Of Odisha Elections

Malkangiri: Malkangiri police have seized Rs 30 lakh from a car near Chalanguda, bordering Chhattisgarh, during vehicle checks ahead of elections in Odisha.

According to sources, the cops recovered the substantial amount of cash from the car after it entered the state from Sukma district in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday evening.

Two persons travelling in the car were also detained as they failed to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the source of the cash.

An investigation is underway to determine the source and purpose of the seized cash.
