Disney's The Lion King is one of the most popular West End shows of all time, and has grossed more than $1.9 billion at the box office over the past 30 years.

The show, which is based on Disney's animated film of the same name, follows the journey of Simba taking over the animal kingdom after his father, Mufasa, is murdered.

With music from legendary British pop star Elton John and lyrics from Tim Rice, this production has gone down in history as one of the most iconic productions ever made.

After it debuted in the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, USA, on July 8, 1997, it has travelled the world.

At the moment, Disney's The Lion King is still playing in London's Lyceum Theatre, and continues to have up to seven showings a week.

There are productions of Disney's The Lion King from Tuesday to Sunday at 7:30pm sharp.

Disney's The Lion King also has matinee showings every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 2:30pm.
