Travellers have been boasting about the beautiful place on TripAdvisor. One user said: "My husband and I were fortunate to travel to Galicia with family friends during our recent trip to Spain. The drive from Madrid was a little more than 5 hours, but well worth the trip. It is like traveling to a different country. Lush green mountains and gorgeous vistas.

"Pulpo (octopus) is great in Galicia. We had pulp at a small bar in downtown Ribadeo close to the town square with the playground. I don't remember the name. They also serve their white wine in small tea pots and you drink from short dishes.

"We paid about 8 euros each to have a local guy take us around in his boat from the harbor in Ribadeo. It lasted about a half hour to forty-five minutes. Well worth the great views."

A second user said: "Great scenery and fantastic people. Hotels with personal attention and splendid service."
