LSG Bowling Coach Morne Morkel Talks About Mayank Yadav's Recovery, Reveals When He Will Return

The young Indian pacer Mayank Yadav created waves in the IPL 2024 with his raw pace and cricket lovers want to see more of his pace bowling but the youngster is currently missing in action as he is recovering from an injury in the lower abdominal area.

Mayank Yadav is playing for Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing IPL 2024 and played an important role in his team’s win over Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore but he got injured in the match which LSG played against Gujarat Titans.

It was speculated that Mayank Yadav would return for the match against Chennai Super Kings which was played on 19 April but that didn’t happen. In fact, Mayank Yadav is still missing from the squad and LSG bowling coach, Morne Morkel told mediapersons that they are planning to bring Mayank Yadav back in the team from the match which they will play against Rajasthan Royals on 27 April.

Morkel who is in Chennai with the team for the match against CSK stated that Mayank Yadav has stayed in Lucknow so that he can get two-three days extra without travelling and he is relaxing and training with the other guys and the assistant coach, Lance Klusener.

Morne Morkel further added that Mayank Yadav started bowling 3-4 days back and they are happy with the progress that he is showing but the expectations are really high as there are few fans who want Mayank to bowl at the speed of over 150 km/h.

LSG is currently at the fifth position with 4 wins in seven matches and it certainly needs to improve its performance if it wants to play in the play-offs of the tournament.
