Rishabh Pant Takes A Dig At Win Predictor As India Thrashes Pakistan In T20 World Cup 2024

The Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant is the only batter of the Indian team who has shown some consistency in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 which is being hosted by USA and West Indies.

In the first league match which India played against Ireland, Rishabh Pant played an important innings of 36 runs not out and in the second match of India with its arch-rival Pakistan, he played an important innings of 42 runs and helped his team reach the total of 119 runs.

It won’t be wrong to say that the Indian batting was highly disappointing against Pakistan and Rishabh Pant didn’t get support from the other end otherwise India may have touched the score of 150-160 runs.

The target of 120 runs was not a big one for the Pakistani team as they needed to score run-a-ball in order to win the match and they didn’t need to play any risky shots but some superb bowling from the Indians especially Jasprit Bumrah and poor cricket from Pakistan turned the tide in India’s favor.

The match predictor also showed that Pakistan had a good chance of winning the match as it predicted 92 percent for Pakistan and 8 percent chance for India.

Rishabh Pant took a subtle dig at the match predictor as he shared its photo along with some other photos from the match. He captioned the post as, “B.E.L.I.E.V.E.”

While Rishabh Pant was the highest scorer for the Indian team, it was Jasprit Bumrah who broke spine of the Pakistani batting by taking three important wickets including wickets of the skipper Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan who was well-settled at the crease at that time.

Jasprit Bumrah was adjudged as the Player of the Match as took 3 wickets in his four overs and gave only 14 runs.

Now India will face the co-host USA on 12 June at Nassau County stadium in New York.
