Three-year-old child falls to death from movie theatre

Hyderabad: A three-year-old boy who fell off a window of Santosh Sapna Theater in Abids succumbed to death in a private hospital on Sunday.

Based on the complaint filed by child’s parents a case has been registered at the Abids police station. During the investigation, police found out that there was negligence on the part of parents as well as the theatre management.

Speaking to siasat.com Syed Ali, Sub-Inspector of Police said, “Kapardhi Datta, a 3-year-old boy came along with his parents to watch 6 p.m. show of Lion King at Santosh Sapna Theatre in Abids. After the interval his mother took her 5-year-old daughter for washroom and her son Datta followed her, mother instructed him to wait near the door but when his mother went into the washroom Datta went near the window. As the mother came out of the washroom she saw her son fell off the window.”

The sub-instructor added by saying that the incident occurred at 7:40 p.m. The boy was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
