THAT HIGH VIBE

Walk in step with life to tune into your best version urges, SENSEI SANDEEP DESAI

Everything is vibrations and energy. We often miss this significant point that by raising our vibrations, we could get the power to change the outcome of our entire life. So how does one raise one’s vibrations and energy?

1 Change your environment: How do you feel when you climb the stairs of your building? And what is your vibe when trekking amidst nature? There is no comparison, right? Trekking is more organic. You feel more awake, more alive. The environment determines how we think. How we think decides how we feel. How we feel is what we draw into our life. So, head for the great outdoors; connect with nature. Or go swimming. Now, you are changing your physical as well as mental environment. You are uplifting yourself.

Life is a dance of energy. If you spend the best part of your day in a dark, dingy room in front of the computer, you are unconsciously attracting a lot of low vibrations. This is because radiation is taking away your playfulness. We all have a choice, as to which direction we move. Staying indoors for too long deprives you of the most fundamental energy, that of sunshine and Vitamin D, too. Lack of Vitamin D can severely impair your digestion. You are what you digest and assimilate. Once you connect with nature, you’ll start raising your vibrations.

2 Choose your thoughts:Your mind is the most complex and sophisticated mechanism that you have. If you want to raise it to another level, where you can achieve everything you want in life, you have to maintain your mind like you maintain a beautiful garden. Keep it clean and fragrant with divine thoughts. The more you develop flowerlike divine qualities, the more you’ll find yourself closer to the person you truly are.

So many of us fall prey to overthinking. For me, that didn’t do anything but create additional work for my mind. To raise your vibrations, you have to start selecting your own thoughts.

As I write this, I choose to be happy. And I take in a deep breath. We have the power to change our outlook, attitude, and perception at every stage of life. A lot of times we fall into a low vibrational frame of mind, when we think and feel that we are merely victims of our circumstances. Often, at such times, we think that life is something that is happening to us. But life is simply reciprocating our thoughts and actions. Process every single thought that enters your head without becoming attached to it. Stop anticipating the future and dwelling on the past. Bring your complete attention to the present moment. It will give you clarity, focus and vision.

3 Eat foods that love you back: You can send your vibrations soaring by just eating a papaya or a wholesome salad. What you eat is what you become. But there are some people who eat super healthy meals and yet they are miserable and there are those who eat junk food but are happy. This happens because your vibrations do not merely depend on what you are eating but also how you are eating.

Get yourself in the right frame of mind while eating. You may be eating the most delicious food, but if you are sad, you are not going to enjoy it. In a positive mood, the vibrations just go on rising and rising.

4 Engage your senses: We eat not just through our mouth, but also through our senses. Classical music involving instruments like flute or sitar, are sure to raise your vibrations. Your vibrational state experiences profound transformation when you change your taste in music. Music is the universal language of mankind and it has been scientifically proven that certain types of music improve your mood, memory and even your DNA.

The greatest instrument is your own voice! It pays to be mindful of how you speak to yourself. Check your tone. You can speak to yourself in a loving way or in a harsh way. Everything you say to yourself has a huge bearing on how feel.

5 Declutter your space: In the past, I was afraid to go to my wardrobe — and see all the clothes I had not used for a long time. Giving away the clothes that I liked, but didn’t make use of, was liberating and stress-relieving. I gave them away to people less fortunate than me. Let’s accept it. So, many of us collect a lot of stuff. I’ve come to realise that less is more. To have more is to desire less. The less you have, the more free and happy you feel. Declutter your space. Every other week, get your room not just cleaned but also cleared out. Dispense with everything you haven’t used for a few months. You will soon realise that you have plenty left, because you have accumulated so much.
