Daniel James agrees terms with Manchester United despite Brighton interest

Daniel James is the next big thing in English football and that claim is well validated by Manchester United who are keen on signing the Welsh winger.

The new Brighton manager Graham Potter, who managed James at Swansea last season, wanted to take the 21-year-old to the Amex Stadium but sources close to Potter claim James has decided on United and ‘agreed everything’ but Swansea are still yet to have accepted a transfer fee.

James has been terrific the entire season in the Championship and displayed exuberant performances amplified with dazzling technique and sprints.

In fact, Manchester City faced Swansea in the FA Cup in March where James’ skill was exposed to the wider audience

Speaking after the game Pep Guardiola said: “They had courage to play and they played good.

“(Daniel) James is incredibly fast, so it’s not easy. We knew that, we spoke about it.”

Daniel James could be Manchester United’s first signing and would display their first foray into the transfer market this season.
