Four years after Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stone for the construction of Amaravati, the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh, the ruling YSR Congress party is contemplating the relocation of the capital to Mangalagiri.
The committee which was formed to verify ,will suggest an ideal location for the capital, be it Amaravati or somewhere else, where development is possible and convenient to everyone. Chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will take the final call after the expert committee submits its report,” minister for municipal administration, Botsa Satyanarayana said.
On the other hand, despite the uproar from farmers, the YSRCP government has decided to shift the secretariat from Amaravati to Vizag. On Thursday the government has reportedly informed the employees of secretariat and also set the deadline of April 6th. Higher officials have proper information too that the government will pass the orders in the next couple of weeks.
