The RTC buses in Andhra Pradesh which are limited to the depot for the last two months amid country-wide lockdown imposed by the centre as part of coronavirus measures are all set to begin its operations soon. 

With the exemptions of the central and state governments, public transport authorities have decided to run buses. In this backdrop, RTC MD Madi Reddy Pratap has issued a circular to RMs in various parts of the state to get ready for buses by the 18th of this month.

APSRTC (Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation) is said to have designed a prototype bus with seats arranged in a way that it complies with the physical distancing of passengers.

This has resulted in special seating in the RTC buses for passengers to follow the physical distance. Officials are also taking steps to ensure that 50% occupancy in the busses. Tickets are also being booked online.
