BJP leader suspended for insulting PM, Shah

Lucknow, March 26 (IANS) The BJP on Tuesday said that it has suspended a senior party leader for six years for making disparaging remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah.BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi told IANS, "Singh has been suspended from the party for six year by state unit chief Mahendra Nath Pandey."The action comes after Singh on Monday took to Twitter and asked: "Did the country elect Prime Minister or publicity minister?"Does a Prime Minister look good when he sells a T-shirt or tea from his official Twitter handle? BJP is a party which has made space in the heart of people due to its ideology.
It's impossible to produce workers with missed calls and T-shirts," he said.Despite the party's 'Mai bhi Chowkidaar' campaign, Singh changed his Twitter handle to 'usuldar' (principled) as his prefix.In a series of tweets, Singh said he belongs to a principled Kshatriya family.In another tweet, Singh said, "The people of eastern UP are overjoyed and the youths here are excited after the announcement of Akhilesh Yadav's candidature from Poorvanchal.
