Shivraj Singh Shares Edited Video of Rahul Gandhi, Clarifies Later

On Wednesday, 15 May, former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan claimed that Congress President Rahul Gandhi named Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel as Madhya Pradesh’s chief minister. However, Chouhan later clarified that he was not aware that the video shared by him was edited.
Union Minister Smriti Irani had also retweeted Shivraj Singh’s tweet.
In the edited video, Rahul Gandhi can be heard calling Bhupesh Baghel as Madhya Pradesh’s chief minister. He says, “Madhya Pradesh ke chief minister Bhupesh Baghel ji, Chhattisgarh ke chief minister Hukum Singh Karaja ji.”

The video is actually from Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting in Madhya Pradesh’s Neemuch that was held on 14 May. In the original video, at 00:08 seconds, he can be heard calling Kamal Nath as Madhya Pradesh’s chief minister and Bhupesh Baghel as chief minister of Chhattisgarh.
