Podcast: India's 7-0 Streak Over Pak and All Other Talking Points

I am sure none of you have missed the match between India and Pakistan in the World Cup but to give a very short recap Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. India got off to solid start and thanks to Rohit Sharma's century and half centuries by KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, the Men in Blue scored 336 at the loss of five wickets. Coming out to bat Pakistan's chase never really gathered any momentum.

Fakhar Zaman top-scored with a 62 before rain stopped play in the 36th over. When the match resumed, it was reduced to 40 overs and the target was revised with Pakistan needing 136 runs off 27 balls. In the end Pakistan could only manage 212 in 40 overs. And India won by 89 runs via the Duckworth Lewis method.

Was Sarfaraz’s decision to bowl first a wrong one? Where did Pakistan’s bowlers go wrong? Has Vijay Shankar secured his place in the side and much more on The Quint’s ICC World Cup Podcast.
