Harvard researchers have created a new implantable device that may help restore facial movement in those patients with one-sided facial paralysis. This was as the “bionic face” approach to facial reanimation uses electrical signals from the uninjured side of the face to trigger muscle movement on the paralysed side. Researchers said, “Ultimate goal of reanimation is to restore dynamic motion of the entire (face).”
