Anjar Ke Samose
Anjar Ke Samose is a flavourful snack recipe which is made using a limited ingredients. It gets its name from the town of Anjar situated in the Kutch district of Gujarat. It gets that name since the filling of the samosa includes gathiya, a type of Namkeen which is quite popular in Anjar. The filling of these samosas is made using onions, red chilli powder, lemon juice and gathiya which are nicely fried. These samosas are best served during tea-time. These samosas are great to be served to your friends for all those gossip sessions. These samosas are golden brown in colour and have that beautiful crunchy crust. The dabeli masala added to these samosas is what makes them stand apart. You can make these samosas for potluck, kitty party or random get together. In fact, you can make a couple of these at a time and store them for a few days to be had later. These samosas are so delicious that they can make anyone want to skip the store-bought ones. INGREDIENTS
10 samosa sheet
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
100 gm namkeen
1 teaspoon sugar
200 ml refined oil
4 tablespoon dabeli masala
1/2 cup onion
How to make Anjar Ke Samose
Step 1
To make your very own Anjar Ke Samose, take the gathiya namkeen and put it in a blender and blend it. Such that you have a fine powder.
Step 2
Now take a non-stick pan and heat some oil in it. Then add chopped onions in the pan and saute them nicely for a minute. Then add sugar along with the red chilli powder and mix again.
Step 3
Now it is time to add the dabeli masala and cook it while stirring time and again. After a minute, switch off the flame and take out the mixture prepared in a bowl. Let it cool down.
Step 4
Then take the samosa sheet and fill it with a portion of this filling. Then close the samosa and take a deep frying pan. Pour oil in it for frying, let the oil become hot. Then, fry the samosa until they turn golden brown in colour. Your Anjar Ke Samose will be ready!
