Chicken Farcha
A Parsi dish that you cannot afford to miss, Chicken Farcha, is something that will enchant your taste buds and take you to a world of lip smacking flavours. This is a special recipe which is prepared on the occasion of the Persian New Year (Nawruz). Served mainly as a snack or an appetizer, one cannot ignore this delicious food when Parsis come in discussion.
INGREDIENTS
250 gm chicken boneless
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1 tablespoon garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
0 salt as required
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 egg
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
0 refined oil as required
How to make Chicken Farcha
Step 1
To start preparing this delicious recipe, rinse the chicken thoroughly under running water and cut it into equal pieces of 50 grams each. Next, to make the marinade for chicken, take a large mixing bowl and add lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, black pepper and salt. Stir all the contents well. Put the chicken pieces into the marinade and let them marinate for 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 2
Now, preheat refined oil in a large deep bottomed frying pan. In the meanwhile, take another bowl and combine beaten egg with chili powder into it. Whisk thoroughly. Further, arrange breadcrumbs in a plate so as to roll the marinated chicken in them.
Step 3
After the chicken is marinated, pick a piece of marinated chicken, roll it in breadcrumbs, dip in the egg mixture and put it into the hot oil for deep frying. Serve hot and fresh with any chutney or sauce of your choice.
