Cinnamon Almond Tart

A perfect combination of salted biscuit crumble with crunchy almond flakes and decadent toffee sauce, this dessert is sure to please all your senses and be the perfect treat for Raksha Bandhan. One can make the Almond Cinnamon Tart easily at home with ingredients that are readily available. This scrumptious dessert is an ideal recipe for all the almond lovers out there.

While the dessert surely is fancy but thankfully the baking time of this tart is just 15 minutes, so, you need not spend hours in the kitchen. The tart comes together quite quickly with a few simple ingredients and is elegant in taste. So go on, try it! (Recipe by: Manish Mehrotra)

INGREDIENTS

1 cup flaked almonds

150 gm monaco biscuits

2 gm cinnamon

200 gm powdered sugar

200 gm fresh cream

60 gm unsalted butter

How to make Cinnamon Almond Tart

Step 1

Roast the almond flake in preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 4 minutes or till golden in colour.

Step 2

For the toffee sauce, caramelize sugar, add 40 gms of butter followed by cream and thoroughly mix it.

Step 3

For Monaco crumble, crush biscuits and mix 20 gm of butter with it. spread this mixture in 6-inch mould and bake at 160 degrees Celsius for 10 min.

Step 4

In a bowl mix, roasted almond slivers and toffee sauce and pour this mix over biscuit crumble in the mould.

Step 5

Bake the mix set in mould in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 15 min. Serve once done and demould the tart. serve with vanilla bean ice cream.
