Egg Idli
Egg idli is a recipe in which we cook eggs in an idli stand and later toss it with some masala. This recipe is a healthy option for your breakfast and even dinner. Idli is popular all over India and is consumed with different types of chutneys. Give a twist to the classic South Indian style Idli and try this fusion version. This egg idli is an easy recipe and you can also have it as snacks.
INGREDIENTS
8 egg
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
2 stalks curry leaves
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
0 salt as required
2 tablespoon coriander leaves
How to make Egg Idli
Step 1
Grease the idli moulds and heat water in the steamer. Break one egg each in one idli mould and sprinkle some salt over them. Use a fork and gently mix them. Steam the eggs for around 12 minutes and check whether they are cooked or not.
Step 2
In a pan heat the oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Saute them for a couple of seconds and then add turmeric, red chilli powder and salt.
Step 3
Add the egg idlis to the pan and toss it well in the tempering. Garnish the egg idlis with coriander leaves and serve.
