Gamjajeon is a classic snack coming all the way from Korea. If you are a fan of Korean food and want to recreate some of the most iconic dishes at home, then Gamjajeon is the best dish to start with. It is prepared with just three ingredients- potato, onion and salt. Potatoes and onions are first grated finely and then mixed with salt. The mixture is then pan-fried to get a beautiful golden brown colour and crispy texture. Make sure you squeeze the grated potato and onion to get rid of excess starch water. In Korean, Gamjajeon is paired with a sauce that is prepared by quickly mixing soya sauce, vinegar, sesame seeds and chopped green chillies together. You can serve this savoury dish as a snack or even enjoy it for breakfast. Do try this recipe, rate it and let us know how it turned out to be. (Image credits- istock)

0 salt as required
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
How to make Gamjajeon
Peel the potatoes and grate them properly from the finer side. Similarly, peel and grate the potatoes. Place the grated potato and onion in a strainer, press down gently with hands to get rid of the starch water.
Add the squeezed out potato-onion mixture to a bowl. Add salt as per taste and mix well.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan. Add a ladleful of mixture into the pan and gently spread it a bit to give the shape of a pancake. Shallow fry the pancake from one side and flip it towards the other side. Cook until golden brown in colour from all sides.
Serve the pancakes after garnishing with spring onions.
