Hariyali Kebab

Hariyali Kebabs are one of the best snacks that you can prepare for kids if they run away from eating green, leafy vegetables. Although you can add as many ingredients as you like in it, this recipe uses spinach and chana dal as main condiments. Both these ingredients hold great flavour together and can be cooked easily once you have your dal ready! What are you waiting for? Grab your ingredients and let’s get cooking!

INGREDIENTS

100 gm spinach

200 gm chana dal

1 tablespoon green chillies

1 teaspoon dry mango powder

2 teaspoon coriander powder

0 salt as required

1 dash nutmeg powder

1 cup chickpeas flour

5 gm cashews

1 cup refined oil

How to make Hariyali Kebab

Step 1

Soak the chana dal for at least 4 hours before cooking. Grind the soaked chana dal to a smooth paste along with spinach leaves, coriander, salt and green chillies. Take it out in a bowl and mix with rest of the ingredients except oil and cashews.

Step 2

Now, you should have a doughy mixture with you. Make some small balls our of it and give them the shape of kebabs. Press half a cashew on top of each kebab and slide it on the tawa to fry. Serve with your favourite chutney.
