1 green chilli

1 teaspoon garam masala powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 dry red chilli

How to make Mawa Green Peas Curry

Step 1

To make this recipe, wash green peas and pressure cook them with some water for 2 whistles. After 2 whistles, let it cool and allow a standing time of 2 minutes.

Step 2

To make mawa, dissolve cornflour in 1/2 cup milk and keep aside. Now, put a kadhai over medium flame and add the remaining milk in it and let it boil. After a boil, add lemon juice and when it comes to curdling, add cornflour mixture and stir continuously on low flame till it becomes thick and the colour changes into brown. Your mawa is ready and keep aside.

Step 3

Put another kadhai over medium flame and heat oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add asafoetida, green chilli, dry red chilli, ginger and garlic paste, coriander powder, garam masala and saute for a few seconds. Then, add boiled green peas, mawa, salt and enough water in it. Mix well and cook for 5 to 7 minutes till the gravy becomes thick.

Step 4

Transfer the dish to a serving dish and garnish with green chillies. Serve hot with lachcha paratha or garlic naan and enjoy.
