Sattu, which is basically flour made of roasted channa is loaded with fibre and protein. Also called the poor man's protein, Sattu drink is an inexpensive and equally effective substitute for your protein shakes. Here we have used jaggery to sweeten up the sharbat and give it the classic flavours.

INGREDIENTS

1 litre water

6 tablespoon black gram flour ( sattu)

6 teaspoon powdered jaggery

3 Pinches black salt

How to make Sattu Sharbat

Step 1

Pour water into three individual glasses. Add 2 tablespoons of sattu powder to each glass. Now add 2 teaspoons of jaggery to each glass. Use a stirrer to mix well.

Step 2

Now just add a pinch of black salt to each glass and give a final stir. Your protein-rich sattu drink is ready to be served.
