INGREDIENTS

5 cup strawberry

3 tablespoon corn starch

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup whipped cream

3/4 cup water

1 pie crust

1 tablespoon butter

How to make Strawberry Pie

Step 1

To prepare this delicious recipe, start by washing the strawberries under running water. Now, using a clean chopping board, slice the strawberries into two halves and keep aside. Then, preheat the oven to 190 degree Celsius.

Step 2

Now, take half of the strawberries in a large bowl and mash them. Then, take a saucepan over medium flame and add the strawberries to it along with sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring continuously.

Step 3

While the mixture is boiling, in a separate bowl, mix water and corn starch. When the strawberries start boiling, gradually add the water-corn starch mixture to the pan. Turn the flame to low and let it simmer for about 10 minutes while stirring continuously.

Step 4

Now, take a pie tray and grease it with butter. Then, place the pie crust in the tray, and line it with parchment paper with pie weights or anything heavy over it. Place it in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or till the crust starts to turn golden around the edges.

Step 5

When the pie crust is done, remove the pie weight and the parchment paper. Then, arrange the remaining half of the strawberries in the baked pie crust.

Step 6

Once the strawberry mixture has thickened, pout it over the strawberries lined in the baked pie crust. The, place it in the refrigerator to set.

Step 7

When the pie has set, take it out of the refrigerator and transfer it to a serving dish. Top it with whipped cream and serve chilled. (Note: You can place the pie in the microwave for 2 minutes if you want to serve it warm.)
